I've got one of those ganglian (SP!?) things where a bunion would be...

if I press it it gooes away...till the nest day. It can be sore and looks like the start of a bunion. Will it always return, or give up one day? What is it? Why is it there.

I don't really like it much you see.

Traditional advice is to hit it with a bible!
My mother had a ganglion for several months - it resolved itself eventually.

I was just about to add the bible tip. My sister hits hers with a hammer and it dispersed the fluid and the ganglion went.

So do I just keep pushing it every day? Or, bashing it, rather?!

I had one at the base of my middle finger. It got quite big and made driving a bit uncomfortable. People kept mentioning bibles but the doc referred me to joint specialist, waited months for appt to have it drained - then the week before popped it gripping the handlbars on my mountainbike going over lumpy ground!
So go to the gp, he/she will sort it.

I have one on my foot. I saw a specialist & he syringed all the gunge out. It has come back over the last couple of years but is smaller and doesn't make my foot numb anymore.

DH has one on his wrist and has had for years - it comes and goes. Tends to flare up in times of stress.

I had a ganglian on my left wrist which was removed under a general when I was 16 years old. I haven't had any further problems with it since then though still suffer with my wrists. I got told the bible trick as well but didn't want to do that!
