HELP please..what is this?

today i woke up with an itchy eye, bit of sleep in it, nothing to worry about..then today it has been a bit itchy again nothing major but now the inside corner of my eye(right) is red on the eyeball and kind of yellowy toward the iris??...say its not conjuctivitus..i am off work tomorrw and thur(im a cm) but do have my own dd here so hope its nothing contageous?..how soon would it clear up if it is?

Sounds like conjunctivitis to me....to avoid cross infection, make sure you keep a face towel just for you - don't let any of the family use it, throw away any eye liners etc, wash mascara brush in hot water etc and a visit to the dr for some eye drops should sort it quite easily

If it is conjunctivitis, you can now get the eye drops over the counter at pharmacies without going to the doctor - usually the pharmacist will look at you to check it really is conjunctivitis.

hi thanks for tips yesterday, walked to pharmacy today and she suggested same as you optrex infected eyes and said if it doesnt start clearing up to go to doc for anti biotic..hope it will clear before fri??..how long does it normally take???
