My 3yo is going through an Elsa stage.

Basically, to keep it brief-

Have had a cough since Christmas
Diagnosed with Pleurisy in March
Given antibiotics and cocodamol for poss chest infection in April
Cough went away but is back now and it’s just the same as it’s always been- really jacking, Plegmy and chesty
Had chest x-ray today.

Is there anything else I could do/ should be doing? I’m still taking ibuprofen because the doctor said that’s important for when my Pleurisy is healing.

But am so fed up! Currently sat on the floor wheezing like a smoker who’s just been on a long run.

No- the doctor said today that she doesn’t think I need one. Tbf she saw me this morning and it gets worse as the day goes on so maybe I should go back at teatime instead 😬!

It's just possible that your pleurisy is being exacerbated by pollen, with the hayfever season being underway now. If you have any antihistamine in you could try taking one, as I find they can really help with my breathing when I've got a debilitating cough. Won't do you any harm to try, and hopefully it'll make a difference

Another possible solution (if you haven't had this already) is to put your foot down with your GP and ask why steroids (eg. prednisone) haven't been prescribed alongside your antibiotics. They can often make all the difference.
