Is this thrush or something else? (TMI warning!)

Years ago I had a spell when I got thrush every month which went away when my period arrived. This happened again last month for the first time in ages so when I started to get a little sore & itchy over a week ago I just assumed the old patterm had started up & waited on my period arriving. Thing is my period isn't here yet (not too worried as ds is bf & periods still irregular anyway) but the thrush is really bad - I'm swollen, raw & itchy. Also the usual thick white discharge I associate with thrush has now turned runny & green (& I mean green).

Does this still sound like the symptoms of thrush or is it more likely to be some kind of infection? I can't get to the doc's 'til Thursday at least so thought I'd ask for opinions here.

Ermmm...Green ? In my opinion, you have an infection turning bad...you cant wait until thursday to see a doc...I think you need to see someone asap.

I echo was the one with the long name said. Don't wait till thursday go and get a swab today, they may be able to give you broad spectrukm antibiotics until you get the swab results.

I googled it and this is what they say :

t is bad! Your vaginal discharge reflects the parasympathetic nervous function (Yin Chi in the term of the Chinese medical concept) in your internal organs.

1. Yellow or brown discharge - the spleen.
2. White discharge - the large intestine or the lungs.
3. Blue or green discharge - the liver or gallbladder; anger and stress often goes with this symptom.
4. Black discharge - the kidneys.

The fishy smell of vaginal discharges indicates the bladder and kidneys are out of balance. Some DMAE (dimetheyaminoethanol) is leaked into the vaginal discharge from the kidney/bladder filtration system.

Seafoods are rich in DMAE. DMAE has been found to increase choline levels. Choline serves as a precursor of the master neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is the main driver of the brain's acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous systems and the somatic and sensory nerves. It also serves as neurotransmitter for the preganglionic sympathetic neurons which mainly resides in the brain and spinal cord.

Insufficient parasympathetic nervous functions and excessive sympathetic nervous functions (stress, anxiety, and anger) in the uterus usually cause excessive vaginal discharge.

The parasympathetic nervous function in the uterus also regulates vaginal female ejaculation during lovemaking, in conjunction with the estrogen effects on the water retention in the local tissues and the so-called urethral glands (the female seminal vesicles) distributed over the bladder-uterine boundary. Weak parasympathetic nervous functions in the bladder and urethra are associated with urinary incontinency and urethral female ejaculation during sex.

Ah. Think I'll call the docs back then.
