Will I ever stop feeling nauseous on the Mirena?

So, mirena inserted 6 months ago and it eventually stopped the bleeding I had been having for about 8 months, but for the love of God, the nausea!!!
It is like I am early pregnancy all over again, feel sick all the time, sore boobs, want to eat comfort food.
Please tell me good women of mumsnet, if this too will pass.

Oh, OP..... that sounds horrid. TBH, I'm wondering if the Mirena is actually suitable for you. I've had mine for about 10 years. If I remember correctly, I had bleeding for something like 6 or 8 weeks when the first one was inserted and have never looked back since. I've had almost no periods since.

I think you should contact your GP and asked to try something else. That is far too long to put up with nausea. All the best.

Hmmmm, I was hoping for resounding joy at the mirena's abilities, but I guess just not for me. Thanks though

Well it is wonderful for me. I have gone from flooding periods every fortnight to no periods. I did not have any nausea though - that would obviously have put a different picture on it.

I had some nausea and sore blobs for a few weeks.I had decided to have it removed it it continued however it stopped. The pill made me feel sick everyday.I wouldn't want 8 months like that. How about the copper coil?
