I've had a very long history with episodes of shortness of breath, left handed chest pain and lightheaded spells (can't bend over without feeling feint)
I have seen the GP and they've done xrays and bloods but nothing came back as untoward and then life happened and I left it for a while.
Last month o went back to the GP during a particularly bad spell of shortness of breath and she sent me straight to the emergency floor.
My D Diamer (is that what it's called?) was very raised but a CT scan ruled out blood clot. I was sent home and then the next day I was asked back for an urgent echo. M
I have a history of endocarditis and a very minor aortic regurgitation but this was marked downs and something they thought they might be able to see rather than a definite.
My mum died on the table and had severe heart valve disease, my sister has a bicuspid valve and has an annual cardio check up.
They didn't say anything during the echo but I've had a letter today to invite me back for a consultant appointment in relation to the investigations I've had done.
So I guess this isn't going to be good news is it? It's really churned up a lot of anxiety and concern because of my mum. I don't want to be like that and take her path.
