DD (10) just fell and hurt her back on our trampoline (we have a safety net and she bounced into one of the poles!). We've established she isn't seriously hurt and has obviously just badly bruised it.

Would hot compress or cold compress be better? DD is a drama queen and needs 'something' lol

cold i think , to reduce bruising and inflammation

cold is best for potential inflammation

can she touch her toes?
can she touch her chin to her chest?
how about head back and to the sides

Perhaps should get checked out incase of any damage to kidneys ? When my Ds had a back injury thats what checked out.

Cold compress.

HedTwigg - DD can do all of those things, I think she winded herself more than anything.

She's sitting on the sofa doing the wounded soldier act but having been watching her moving etc without noticing me watching her she's fine!

If she's still in pain at all as the evening goes on I will get her checked out in case of kidney problems.

Thanks ladies!
