its taking over the world. well, his foot anyway. doesnt seem to hurt him much but is ugly as hell and growing alarmingly and will no doubt spread to us all...

local gp 'verruca clinic' is sporadic. earliest time we are booked for is Aug 5th.

anyone done home freezing? do they work?

what about a chiropodist (dps idea) would they treat it for us?

Please don't mock the power of the radish quid!!
Tis a noble and powerful beastie

(I really do promise you all, it does work!!)

Howdydoody · 15/07/2007 22:43

How long does it take for radish to work?

Quiddaitch · 15/07/2007 22:45

rofl at homopathy

stressteddy · 15/07/2007 22:46

About as long as any other non-chemical treatment I think. About 6-7 weeks
Glad someone is taking me seriously howdy

stressteddy · 15/07/2007 22:47

who knew raddii would keep us busy until 10 to 11?????

overthehill · 15/07/2007 22:50

Myy dd had a verruca for ages & we tried Bazooka-tupe stuff every night for months with no major success. Finally read about banana skins, so applied some with some tape & left it overnight & hey presto! it disappeared, to my - and her - great relief & astonishment .

Howdydoody · 15/07/2007 22:51

Am desperate as most of them have come out of dd's foot but one stubborn little pesty one is hanging on in there! Off to radish bulk buy tomorrow

stressteddy · 15/07/2007 22:54

cut a slice off, hold the rest of the radish, then rub, rub, rub for about 5 minutes
Then slice off that bit and put back in fridge till next time (obv not near any food stuff!)
I would say do it about 3 times a day - even if it's only 1 hour apart. Twice in evening

I expect you back in 7 weeks to let everyone know I'm not loopy!!
Good luck!

TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:12

omg, i take one evening off and my thread gets all amusing... [wonk]

pmsl at aitch and her radish homophobia...lol.

SO, stressteddy...radishes you say, huh? gotta say, you do sound fairly convinced, which in turn is pretty convincing... ok, goddamit, ill give it a go.

as to leaving it and it falling off itself in 2 yrs...eh? theres tons of people whove had em for like 10 years... and its not just unsightly, its taking over the world, did i not emphasise that? bloody thing is enormous. perhaps it thrives on attention...hmmm

OP posts:
TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:15

oh, and ta codlington, for the freezing tip. i will purchase that stuff and have it on standby...or even just do it and be done with perhaps (he has been promised a ben 10 watch if he lets me or doc 'fix' it, whatever that is, and he seems keen).

OP posts:
Quiddaitch · 15/07/2007 23:30

just let the doc do it, nappies. i've had a verruca zapped, it hurts but only for a few seconds. it's over the minute the zapper comes off your foot. a cbeebies comic and some sweeties and he'll develop amnesia about it.

TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:40

well, yes, but.... the appt is not till aug 5th (spose not that far away now) and it'll be one of the kindly and happy seeming, but somewhat.... less confidence inspiring nurses who does the deed. he could be scarred for life.

(youre right, no doubt. and tis what will come to pass in the end. no doubt. in the meantime, i'll fret a little. seems to be The Way, no?)

OP posts:
Quiddaitch · 15/07/2007 23:41

have you tried avocado?

what about a spring onion? they're nippy...

TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:43

now now, youll be telling me to rub homosexuals on it next.
ROFL

OP posts:
Quiddaitch · 15/07/2007 23:44

well, they can be a little nippy too, let's face it.

Reallytired · 15/07/2007 23:45

"i've had a verruca zapped, it hurts but only for a few seconds."

When I had it done it hurt for a couple of days and I had a big blister. To make matters worst I had to walk home. Ouch!

Sixer · 15/07/2007 23:50

oh oh i'm sure i've heard the best thing to do was to leave them, let them run the course. Which can take a while.

TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:50

yes indeed. perhaps i should just get my mother to speak sternly to it? shes a nippy homosexual if ever i met one she could read the guardian to it, that'll get her spitting and spouting. shoudl do the trick, no?

OP posts:
TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:52

cant sixer. its taking over the world. security of the planet at risk.

havnmt you seen how to get ahead in advertising?? im a concerned mother, you know

OP posts:
Sixer · 15/07/2007 23:54

ah blardy 'ell leave 'em be.

TranquilaManana · 15/07/2007 23:58

its not little. its not even a few little ones. its one enormous bloody thing and its starting to make him walk funny. he doesnt put his foot down flat anymore. makes me think it may be hurting him (its hurting him)

i have ignored it. and its gotten worse. hence the need for a cure.

im not a psycho interfering ott controlling mum, honest. they have to have been in some discomfort for some time before i get all worked up about it, truly

OP posts:
Quiddaitch · 16/07/2007 00:08

yes, sixer, she's downright slatternly in RL. yes a nippy homosexual with a banana and the upfront column of the guardian mag... that'd get me moving.

TranquilaManana · 16/07/2007 00:19

ah aitch...you seem to know me so well...

OP posts:
TranquilaManana · 16/07/2007 00:21

acksherly, while i have ytour attention, madame de Hness, im bored with my name again. what do you suggest? your cutting wit and honesty are always appreciated at times like these

[groin]

OP posts:
Quiddaitch · 16/07/2007 10:05

oh no, that's not how it works. You come up with the suggestions and I dismiss them airily.
