Having taken advice here I have been applying banana skin to my kids verucas. How long does it take to work does anyone know? I am filing them as well as they have turned much blacker and the skin around them has come up around them. THey have got smaller but this is after two weeks.

Perhaps its the weekend and the veruca people are not about.

I didn't post because, although I saw all the discussion about bananas, I decided against going down this route and went to the GP instead. It has taken quite a while, but mine has finally gone (yippee). He put liquid nitrogen on it every two weeks for a couple of months (ouch, ouch, ouch) and prescribed an old-fashioned remedy called Pickles Ointment for me to apply every night. I had also had to dig into it every night. He said it was the best remedy he knew.

Thanks for this reply. My eldest isnt keen on the digging and has been so good at the banana thing. Oh well if in doubt I will take her to the docs.
