Bleed from vagina but not period

I got my period last week. It was usual - heavy for the first 2 days, light after that for a day or two and then tapered off. My period is gone now or it should be. I noticed some slight staining in my knickers yesterday and Tuesday. Today I was wiping after going to the toilet and I found a spot of blood on the tissue. It's not coming from the peehole. It looks as if it's coming from the entrance to the vagina. I do generally tend to get itchy and dry during my period and maybe I was scratching in my sleep some night.

Had anyone here experienced similar? Unfortunately I'm stuck in work and I can't get home until tomorrow night. If I was home I would probably apply some lube to see if that would help.

I'm due to go away on Sunday for the day and night and I really don't want this.

Are you menopausal?

SMJYellow · 11/04/2019 20:59

I'm not sore or itchy by the way. I did have a terrible time with cramps during the ovulation time

Following with interest, this happened to me gp said nothing to worry about as it only happened once but still sent to to see a consultant, who didn't understand why I was there but still ordered swabs and a scan! Waiting for results. If I am menopausal, it's very early but not un heard of at my age

I think I my know the very area where the bleed is. Do you know the area right in between the bum and the vagina. I think the bleed is coming from there. Or at the very opening of the vagina.

I'm just after figuring this out. My period began last week. Lately I changed pads to bigger, longer pads. I got up in a morning, leaking and I cleaned myself up.

Work/Life was hectic. I hardly had a minute to take a break. I made a cup of tea at one stage and one I tried to take a mouthful of tea, I spilled it over my face and down my chin.

Anyways, it was nighttime, by the time I got the time to, shock horror, spend more than a minute to look after myself and change a pad. I reckon it's irritation from wearing a pad all day without changing.
