Just pondering. A friend rang me today and said that she thinks the school are going to say that her ds1 is autistic. I haven't seen him for a few years so couldn't say, but listening to her he does do a few Aspie things. I wouldn't say I was convinced he was autistic though.
Anyway she said she thinks he changed after his single measles jab (she's been saying that for a while- before the word autism was mentioned).
Anyway the vaguely interesting thing is that her ds1 and my ds1 receieved single measles jabs from the same doctor at around the same time. Although there were defintely signs of a problem in ds1's case before his jab- (he started to regress following an illness at 11 months- he had his jab at 15 months)- he did stop talking a month after his jab. I have no problems with the safety of the doctor- and the correct jab was given- he put good records in the ds1's red book, but I do know that sometimes some batches ('hot'batches) of vax are linked with various problems. Would like to have a browse really. In ds1's case he was regressing anyway, but just wonder whether we would have ended up with verbal autism rather than non-verbal. Not that it makes much difference- just curious really.
So does anyone know how to find out more. I have the serial number etc of ds1's jab- and my friend will have the same for her son, so I guess we start by comparing that.
