Just wondered if anyone suffers from this.

Have only ever had 2 attacks, 1 nearly 2 years ago and 1 very mild one last night, but the one that I had last night scared me most. Was at home the ds's, dh was on his way home. I had had fuzzy headache all day yesterday and felt a little rough. Went to cook dinner and couldnt keep my eyes open but everytime I closed my eyes I felt like I was going to vomit and could feel myself swaying from side to side. Took myself up to bed and just laid down and relaxed. It eased after a couple of hours but was so shocked as to how quick it came on without any real warning. The first attack I had was really intense and had to be taken to hospital in the middle of the night.

My bil suffers from this condition. He is currently on daily medication which seems to have eased both the severity and frequency of his attacks. Before the medication his attacks could last days if not weeks. Unlike you he can tell when he is about to suffer a attack so can promptly prepare himself by getting himself into bed and resting.

The last time I spoke to him he mentioned some operation which had been recommended to him by a specialist. It has a 80% success rate and I think he was keen to go ahead and have it done. The downside was that he may lose the hearing in his ear but to him it is a risk worth taking.

My bil was told also to avoid salt as apparently salt can agrivate the condition.

Sorry to hear you have this as from what I have heard it pretty miserable when it strikes. Hopefully with the correct treatment you will beable to manage the condition.
