TMI ALERT: thrush or something else?

for the last week or so I've been a bit itchy and slightly burny. And there's been a weird discharge. Kind of urine coloured. Not all the time. Generally after every other trip to the loo. When I wipe there's quite a bit of it.
I've noticed a strongish odour. not bad though. just like my normal odour only stronger. I'm terrified to go to the GP.

I had thrush recently I think. Just itchy. From what you describe I do not know if you have same. Plesae do not be embarassed to go to your GP. All that happened to me was that I was asked to do a swab myself. No intimate examinations. Thw swab was sent off for analysis. In the menatime since GP suspected thrush I was given a pessary for use myself. The irchiness did go away. HTH

Can you try some Canisten Duo and see if it helps, if it doesn't you proberbly don't have thrush.

any thoughts on what it could be though?

from my vague meanderings on the web most of the infections down there are STI related. there is absolutely no way that it could be that. cause really you need to have sex for that right?
i'm just irrationally terrified that I'll go to the GP and get told that i have an STI (impossible though it is) and then my DH will think I'm cheating on him and leave me.
i'm messed up.

there are other infections you can get that aren't STI

bacterial vaginitus? (never had it but heard it might smell a bit)

just go to the GP ffs, what's worse, a trip to the docs or smelly bits?
