Abdominal pain.. worse after eating and UTI.

I started getting pains in my abdomen on Thursday. Phoned doctor who said it sounded muscular until I mentioned the need to wee more. She said if I really wanted then I could drop off a sample to be dipped.
Took in sample and she called me in to say I had an infection and blood in urine. I was to take antibiotics for 3 days and take another sample in on Monday.
I have now finished the anti biotics.
I still have urge to wee, but it's not stinging. But I do have a constant pain still. It's all around my waist from hip to ribs all the way around. Worst is in my back but my belly is tender.
When I eat it starts hurting more, like a really bad bloating, tight pain

I'm going to call GP again tomorrow to go get seen but just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

To add.... I've put ibuprofen gel on and no change.

I finished the full antibiotics course.

I had my gallbladder out years ago so isn't that.

Not pregnant.

Not hurt myself in any way I can think of.

It might be that the bacteria that has caused the UTI is resistant to the antibiotics you were given. This means they would not have been effective even if you took the full course. It is likely you need a different antibiotic. Hopefully the sample was sent to the lab so the GP will know which one to prescribe. You do need to see the gp urgently to get this treated.

She said she would send it off and see what "grew" I wonder if the results of that will be back tomorrow.

That’s good. It usually takes around 48 hrs to get a result so it should be a available when you go back to the GP.

I am watching this thread as I seem to be getting nowhere.
Over the last 6 weeks I have needed to wee alot. Two or 3 times an hour. Its getting me down. It doesnt hurt to go though. My tummy is always bloated, and tender, more so after everything I eat. I fee; sick all the time and am exhausted, I get shooting pains in my tummy and down below and I am struggling to do the other. My motions were normally every day, now I am going every other day, but last week it was 5 days before I was able to poo.
I had bloods taken and a urine sample. My urine was normal but my Bloods have to be discussed with my GP due to raised folates apparantely. But my tummy is still so tender.

The infection I have is resistant to the antibiotics I was given so I've still got infection and getting more antibiotics.

£17.60 now on prescription's...really hope they work this time.

I am glad to hear you got to the bottom of it. Now that the GP knows what antibiotics the bacteria is sensitive to they should clear the infection up.
