Feeling rotten and now protein in urine

Please help. Yesterday I felt really achy and shivery, all my body ached in a flu type way. Today I just feel awful like I'm getting a virus or cold or something. I also had really bad nausea, but not now. At some points I start to feel warm. Temp is 37.5. Heat rate is around 90 today. Just dipped my urine and its come up with protein. Nothing else. Do i need to do anything?

Just done a few more strips and all clear. Perhaps just due to feeling ill and not enough water then. Hate feeling so anxious.

My heart rate is still 90. Is that ok when you're ill? Temp still 37.5.

Do you have health anxiety? Because a temp of 37.5 is still in the normal range

I do a bit. I'm either shivering or sweating. It's the heart rate that worries me 90-100. I can feel it thundering. Is that normal if you're ill? It's normally 60-70. Thanks for replying.

It's probably your anxiety increasing your heart rate - very common. Try some deep breaths and try to distract yourself with something else for a while and then check again

If you think you might have a urine infection you need to see a GP to see if you need antibiotics.

A heart rate of 90 when you’re feeling a bit anxious is perfectly reasonable. Try not to panic!

Thank you! My urine strips are clear and I have no pain. I used to get them all the time hence the strips. Feel more like cold/flu.

I've been really achy and had a high temp. I had no symptoms of a urine infection but when I saw gp yesterday he said I had markers for a uti.

My heart rate has been between 90-110 while I've had a fever. Now it's under control, it's around 75. Your heart rate does increase if you are fighting an infection though.

Maybe get checked out to be on the safe side.

Hiya what markers did you have? Temp down to 36.4 with paracetamol. Heart down to 75. Strips still showing clear. I've got antibiotics but don't want to take them if not necessary.

If they’ve prescribed antibiotics for you they obviously think you need them. So take them....!

Sorry, I've got a box I'm allowed to keep at home due to the fact I used to get lots of utis.
