Hi sez23,

My ds3 had d+v bad, it was as if he was weeing from his bottom, i used 5 nappied trying to catch the mess. He would be sick and nearly drown in it, there was soooo much vomit.

My doctor said "little and often" every 10mins we gave him 2/3mm. She also suggested an ice lolly to suck on (it melts to fluid).

Try squirting a small amount of water from a syringe.

Keep a close eye on the nappies if there hasn't been a wet 1 for a while ring NHS Direct.

Try the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. As long as your child can hold down some food then they can drink water. However, if your child is not holding down food then you will want to give them pedialyte or a generic brand of it. This will hydrate your child with the right amount of elecydrolytes. My child like the Pedia pops. They are pop cycle especially designed to rehydrate. If your child vomits give them at least an hour break before you try to give them something else.
These are my suggestions to you but sometimes just taking your child to the doctors can make you both feel better.
