I do have health anxiety so I am prone to worrying about these things.
I've had a little bump behind my ear since January - I went to the doctor about it and he said he thought I was just fighting an infection and that it would go down (he felt all round and said it wasn't one I needed to worry about).

It did go down a fair bit, but then came back up again about two weeks ago and doesn't seem to be going down at all.
I'm not ill - I have a bit of a sniffle and have been sneezing a bit but don't feel coldy if that makes sense. I had an appointment about something else and mentioned it to another doctor and again she said it was fine, not one to worry about, but it's since got a big bigger.

I am pretty run down as I've been suffering with a bad bout of anxiety, and I do keep prodding it (don't know if that will make a difference?) but I was just wondering if it's something I should pursue it or whether I am being overly anxious.

I know it probably sounds silly as I've seen two doctors but the problem is when I'm in the grip of anxiety I don't know what's reasonable and what's not :(

Has anyone else had anything like this? Did it take long to go down?

I’ve got this - a small soft lump behind my left ear. Comes and goes but is mostly there. Showed it to doctor and he says it’s nothing to worry about!

Try not to worry!

Thank you! Mine is on the left too
Can I ask does it change in size? Like get bigger before it goes down again?

Hey,

I’ve had one for about... 7 years??? Never got it checked out. It’s about the size of a pea. I’ve had so many lumps and bumps checked out over the years and none have been anything really sinister xx

I’ve got one too. Doctor looked and told me not to worry. I’ve heard of people popping them but mine feels quite deep under the skin and I’d get too queasy trying!

Aberforthsgoat · 24/02/2019 17:10

Thank you both!

Popping them @toolchest13 Sad that makes me
Super queasy! Mine feels a bit too firm to be poppable and don’t think I fancy trying!

I’m guessing that my constant poking and feeling it won’t help either Grin
