I have got a bit of a temp but I feel cold, my throat is sore, my ears hurt, my glands in my neck are really swollen. Even all under my arms feels swollen. My head is thumping and I ache all over, especially my back and down the backs of my legs. My one eye is drooping (always happens when I am about to get a migraine) and I feel like poo. DD2 didn't sleep the night before last so I am still really tired. I just want to curl up on the sofa and go to sleep but the kids won't let me. I have barely even got the energy to type this. DH is no help. Don't even know how we are still living in the same house. His family say that its my fault i decided to have so many children so i have to just 'get on with it'. My family say 'oh your just run down, get some vitamins in you' DD2 is sat here crying all snotty and I haven't got the energy to deal with her. I wish she would just shut up. ds2 is playing with the noisiest toys possible. I have got so much to do and the dog is looking to go for her walk but I don't think I can physically manage it.
there. pointless rant over. god its taken me ages to write this

Back later to see if you feel better....there there.....

LordVenger · 05/07/2007 09:50

bring crackers and cheese from the kitchen, put them in the middle of the floor on a blanket, put on "The Lion King", shout "It's a disney picnic!", and kip for as long as possible on the sofa under a rug. When your husband returns from wherever, mutter "I think I'm highly infectious" and bunk off to a friend/relative's house for the night.

WotzaGirl2do · 05/07/2007 09:51

Get the clothes dryer thingy stand, throw a sheet over it to make a tent and put over picnic....

AnAngelWithin · 05/07/2007 09:54

hot lemony drink sounds nice!! i might go and see if i have got any lemon juice in. i think dd would just pull the tent on top of herself!! shes only 16 months lol

pollywollydoodle · 05/07/2007 09:55

if family a dead loss, have you any friends who might pop over for a couple of hours?

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 05/07/2007 09:55

Call in Mrs CBeebies, she is a great babysitter in times of need

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 05/07/2007 09:57

I was ill reecntly and I also have a 16mth old, I find collecting lots of household items that she has never played with before works then putting them in a handbag with lots of pockets - she fiddles for ages. Also making an obstacle course out of cushions, boxes etc is a good way of letting of steam.

AnAngelWithin · 05/07/2007 09:57

my best friend is tied up with her little boy who has been up all night and this morning being sick!! so i dont think i should bother her!!

Once when i was on my knees and hubby and mum were away i knocked on the door of an elderly lady we'd nodded to on our street and asked if she would help me out and come round for an hour...cheeky i know....luckily she was delighted to do it....anyone you could chance it with...

pollywollydoodle · 05/07/2007 10:27

ps and i'd hide the noisy toys whilst distracting with a biscuit!

AnAngelWithin · 05/07/2007 10:27

feeling any better?

AnAngelWithin · 05/07/2007 13:19

DH refused to come home to get me anything from the chemist so i will have to sit it out or battle my way down there. But I don't feel very steady on m feet. The builders are still here and still got loads to do. I feel really really dizzy now.

what a sh#t!
Get a taxi to chemist....tabs will kick in after 20mins

come home and do nothing except absolute essentials(tidying/walking dog/cooking etc don't count)

As a last resort lie on floor near kids and let them use you to climb on while you zone out.....can you tell i've done that before?

good luck

AnAngelWithin · 05/07/2007 13:49
