1 yr old - diarrohea - won't take dioralyte - what to do?

she's only takig about 6 oz fliuds yestaerday & today, 2 oatcakes - just comes straigt out gain. saw Gp today who repscribed dioralyte but she refues point blacnk to take it - any ideas? ahve mixed it with juice too& still refused. am just wooried aboout her becoming dehydrated.

i think flat coke was a suggestion given to me.. .not diet coke..

keep going with the juice, I got told off the other week for not giving my 15mth old juice when she had the trots, was trying to explain to dr that she usually drinks mainly water but was told to lob in the hi juice or diluted apple juice.....so long as she keeps drinking and attempting bland foods, she should be ok.HTH's

thanks - but don't fancy my chances withthat either as she has only ever has water or milk =. aslo tried ice creamthis afternoon - another disaster!!!

My GP always recommended flat lemonade- it's got the sugars and salts they need in it apparently. (Mine would never drink dioralyte either)

try carrot juice which is meant to be the natural ingredient for upset stomach.
