Tender bit of leg! What is it?

Last night while going to sleep I brushed one leg over the back of the other and felt an awful pain on a particular spot, just below the back of the knee on the back of my leg.
I felt it and it really hurt. It isn’t a ‘skin thing’ it feels like it’s deeper than that.
It’s still there today, if I brush the area while sitting down/getting up or whatever, it is really painful. I can’t see anything, the skin feels normal temperature, nothing swollen. Just a really painful area about the size of a 50p
What on Earth is this?

Do you have any other symptoms? As I know that the back of the knee is a fibromyalgia pain point.

Get checked - could be DVT

I get random areas of pain like this quite a lot, exactly as you describe. It’s like a small deep bruise but there’s no discolouration and nothing’s visibly there. I used to always freak out and keep rubbing it but then naturally it would make it worse! Have you had a cold or anything recently? You have lymph nodes on the back of your knees when I’m not well mine sometimes go sensitive in my ground etc, or you may have just sat funny and grazed one.

Unless it’s gets worse/becomes discoloured etc don’t worry it’ll just be one of those things! Just don’t prod it or you’ll make it sore xx

I never knew there were lymph nodes there 😮
It’s gone now, whatever it was. Yes it did feel like a deep bruise, really sensitive. How strange!
