Weird spotty faced FlameBoy!

He started out the day with a spotty chin - I put it down to teething dribble (chewing his fist constantly, think its his back ones).

Later this morning he had one more by the top of his mouth.

He woke up from his sleep and now has them on his cheeks too

Has he become a teenager???

Do toddlers normally get random spotty faces??

No spots on the rest of his body. They are red spots, some have a slight head to them.

Chicken pox would be all over wouldn't it?

It could be all over him by tomorrow... they get spottier day by day!

Mind you, I thought CP generally started on the torso.

oh - poor flameboy ...

don't know re the CPox though as dd has managed to avoid them so far (have NO idea how)

Rubyslippers · 02/07/2007 17:58

CP start with just a few spots
DS's started with 6 spots on the back of his neck and over the next 48 hours increased
if it isn't CP, perhaps an allergy?
Keep an eye on them and see if they spread ...

Flamesparrow · 02/07/2007 18:04

I had it in mind that it was normally torso/back of neck too.

DD's not had it, and neither has DH

Pllllllllllllleeeeeeeeease be an allergy

I'll piriton him in a minute (can't give it too early or he'll fall asleep in dinner), and see if that brings it down.

Looks lots less this morning... must be the teenager option

so not the dreaded CP then
must be a relief

MerlinsBeard · 03/07/2007 11:43

ds2 often has a couple of spots on his face for no reason

but

he also started CP with 4 red spots on his forehead. by the end of the next day there was no doubt it was cp!!!

My dd frequently gets spots on her face, the worst one always in the same place; left cheek. Not sure if I should take her to the doc as it's always very red, with a slight head to it.
