Ahem, a, erm, friend of mine was prone to this problem if wearing non-cotton/working like a dog. I, er, she tried some of the more expensive deodorants and found little difference, but she found Dove deodorant to be extremely effective.

dissle · 01/07/2007 19:34

So your erm, ahem sweaty friend found Dove good then did she...

Is she no longer sweaty?

Is it the stick stuff that you found good or the cream stuff?

OP posts:
dissle · 01/07/2007 19:34

I mean your friend...

OP posts:
winestein · 01/07/2007 19:34

Oh, hang on I'll ring her and ask....

{cough}

winestein · 01/07/2007 19:36

It was actually the aerosol stuff. On a serious note, I haven't found anything better - it really worked for me - and I did try a lot

snowwonder · 01/07/2007 19:38

i use mitchum roll on,

dissle · 01/07/2007 19:39

Mitchum didn't work on me at all.
Did you mean you have tried the Dove aerosol Dissle?

dissle · 01/07/2007 19:58

No, tend to stick with stuff that gives me a full coverage ifyou know what i mean. I never buy sprays.

Will try the Dove one though.

Its getting annoying.

OP posts:
dissle · 01/07/2007 19:59

could you ask your friend please?

OP posts:
myweegirl · 01/07/2007 20:01

you could try driclor - put it on once at night and wash off in the morning. can sting a bit if you use too much or have boroken skin - but after a week it really helps. i used it a few years ago and haven't had to go back to it.

dove and sure roll on work well for me now.

winestein · 01/07/2007 20:03

Strangely enough, of all the ones I tried I found the roll on ones to be consistently worse than any of the sprays. Do let me know how you get on with the Dove and I'll pass it on to my friend

dissle · 01/07/2007 20:04

will do.

this dry stuff, get it from boots????

OP posts:
LucyLamb · 01/07/2007 20:09

Ah my specialist subject !

So - I have been using Perspirex for a few years now - it's like Driclor - you put it on at night - every two or three nights is fine - it can sting on broken or recently shaved pits - but it really really really works !

I am now trying Driclor after recommendations on here. Much the same so far I'd say.

Nothing else works for me - not mens deod, not Mitchum. But these two do ! Dry as a bone and no pong whatsoever !

snowwonder · 01/07/2007 20:14

can you get these super duper ones in boots.

so i would apply at night and shower in the morning, then not apply anything else?

myweegirl · 01/07/2007 20:16

yep = can buy them from boots. i would still use something in the morning as well as driclor at night

LucyLamb · 01/07/2007 20:16

Yes in Boots - online at boots.com too. They ae a bit dearer than usual - and are in tiny roll ons - but are so so worth it.

I usually do put my usual stuff on after a shower - but I don't think you really need to - I just do as security - for the deodarant rather than anti-persp - just in case some gets out !!

NuttyMuffins · 01/07/2007 20:17

Another vote for Driclor, fab stuff

dissle · 01/07/2007 20:17

WHAT i could NEVER go out without something on.....dear GOD!!!

Ok so do you get the industrial strength bong buster from boots or health food places or BNF????

OP posts:
LucyLamb · 01/07/2007 20:18

Boots have it

dissle · 01/07/2007 20:19

Ahhh, will have to hunt them down.

Not liking bieng a sweaty betty.
want to wear nice little tops but they dont keep it contained enough.
Shower every day sometimes twice and change top and bra every day...still stinky though.

OP posts:
LucyLamb · 01/07/2007 20:21

No me too - it is gross ! But honestly Perspirex or Driclor are the business !

snowwonder · 01/07/2007 20:24

are they with the cheapo ones,

or do they keep them locked up behind the pharmacy?

LucyLamb · 01/07/2007 20:26

No no just next to the usual ones - usually next to Mitchum, Linden Voss and that lot.
