Stomach ache that comes and goes

My husband is fretting about a new belly ache that comes and goes. Full ache rather than stabbing or sharp pain and moves around from side to side but between belly and chest. He’s booked s GP appointment for next week but I can tell he’s fretting and I have health anxiety and google is never a good idea. Anyone had similar and it not be sinister? His mum and dad both have bad tummies and he has a lot of acid too. I’m hoping it’s over indulgence at Christmas or a bug but panicking it’s more than that.

Dull not full ache sorry

Have you tried taking probiotics? It might be worth a try to see if it settles it. It works for us. Before I discovered probiotics, I honestly thought I was dying of cancer of some sort.
I use the children’s probiotics powder from Biocare.

Not tried those. We’ve eaten badly as most of us do over Christmas so I’m hoping it’ll settle but he’s a big stresshead currently too which must affect the guts too. I know it does mine.
