Sore neck and stomach pain in nearly 4 year old....

So earlier this week both dd1 and dd2 were suffering from intermittent high temparatures..nothing much higher than 39 though. Both seemed well in themselves despite the temparatures albeit a bit quiet. Temps are all fine now and have been for a couple of days, however, dd1 who will be 4 in a couple of months is complaining of a sore neck and stomach pain. She did also mention this on Sunday to me when she had the high temp but didn't seem overly perturbed by the pains.

She's gone to bed tonight and seems really tired, no temp...so I'm just wondering whether this is just some kind of odd virus or whether there might be something else that I need to be concerned about - menningitus springs to mind. There is no rash on her at all by the way and she has been checked thoroughly.

DD2 who is one....is fine apart from coughing like someone with a 40 a day habit.

Any ideas?

Sounds like horrible virusything to me, however hand, foot and mouth is going around up here (praying we don't get it) which starts with dodgy temps etc, then after 3-6 days apparently you break out in nice sores
