Hi everyone

Just want abit of reassurance that it's OK to have a baby while suffering from herpes
I caught it last year in March after I broke up with a guy I was with for 7 years
I've only ever slept with 6 people my whole life and got into a relationship with someone after that 7 year relationship to the guy for 3months that couldn't tell me the truth.. Then me and my past boyfriend decided to work it out and he's does know about it and it's supportive
I have a daughter already who's 5
Ive just had my Coil removed in November had a little bleed then had a period on the 11th of December I want to try for another baby whos with the guy to my daughter. But I'm worried.

Thanks for any advice.

Xx

Ive had it for a number of years, gave birth vaginally twice, with my first i took a course of acyclovir under advice of consultant as i mentioned it to my midwife, second time i think the guidance changed and it was no longer needed.

No risk to baby unless you have an active outbreak while your giving birth.

Mines quite a useful barometer of how stressed and run down I am, so try to take good care of yourself especially with diet and sensible rest, and have it on your notes for the midwife.

I have it and have had two normal pregnancies and vaginal births with no issues. Just make sure you tell the midwife then she can request antivirals for you if necessary. All the best.

I've spoken to my doctor about it and she said not to worry either just plays on my mind everyday but it's nothing you can go back on
It makes me feel better knowing people have had normal births but I shall make sure I tell my midwife about it and check out as much information as I can :) thanks for the advice xx
