What's this on my foot? Pic included

My foot started hurting about 7 weeks ago-I had a look and thought I'd perhaps trodden on something as there was a small spot there
It didn't go away and has become increasingly painful; I was inclined to leave it alone in the hope that if there was something in there it would work it's way out

If I put pressure on it it makes my entire foot throb however overall the rest of my foot looks and feels fine....what do you think it is? I don't want to bother the GP with it but wondering if I should try to stick a sterile needle in there, or see a podiatrist perhaps?

Any thoughts much appreciated!

I found I had a slither of glass in mine after not being able to put my foot down in certain positions. I thought after a warm bath it would work out with cream. But I ended up using a pin to pick it out

Prob not the most hygienic way but it was a relief

Looks like a callous

Or a corn x

Verruca ?

Whatshouldonedo · 03/01/2019 13:01

Hmmmmm, I don't think it's a verruca but am wondering if there's something in there-may have to have a pick

Verrucas don't generally hurt. Sounds like a foreign body in there.
DON'T pick... Go to gp or miu

Singlenotsingle · 03/01/2019 13:06

Verrucas do hurt if they're on the sole of your foot and you have to walk on them.

This ☝🏻

planespotting · 03/01/2019 13:16

So painful
Mine went aways after a year
They grow "a root" or something

picklemebaubles · 03/01/2019 13:20

Lots of foot soaks, at least twice a day, and rub gently with a pumice. You'll soon know if there is something in there.

SweetAngie · 03/01/2019 13:23

Looks like a corn, though could be a result of a foreign body.

You can pay for a podiatrist to look at it/debride it if you don't want to bother the GP.

Verrucas hurt indeed if walked on honestly google some pics to compare, they often have a dirty liking centre like little Black dots
