Does this sound abnormal ? (Probably TMI - period related)

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has ever been in this situation and can help calm me down?
About a week ago I started my period about three weeks after my last period ended. I usually go about six weeks between periods so this is pretty unusual.
This period has been an absolute nightmare I'm usually very heavy but I've been soaking through (sorry TMI) super absorbent tampons and a night pad within two hours. I also never get period pain and within the last day I've had almost unbearable pain around my left ovary.
I'm really worried this could be something but I'm not sure if I'm worrying about nothing and it's just a bad period.
Has anyone had similar at all?

Hi OP- I have awful periods too and I have had similar to this, though if you're soaking that many pads and tampons maybe call 111 and enquire if you can't get an appointment?

I've been bleeding every day since my last period, over a month now!😣 my Gp said not to worry and it should stop soon.

It sounds like it could be a follicular cyst (I have bad periods anyway, but these always make them worse). As a general guide if you are soaking through a super pad (the actual super pads that are an inch thick or something, not those ridiculous ultra pads that wouldn’t stop a runny nose) in less than an hour for more than a few consecutive hours then you need to seek medical advice.

With your pain are you taking both paracetamol and ibuprofen? You could always try co-codomal (but not at the same time as paracetamol!). Also a hot water bottle on your tummy, or a warm bath.

Have you got any other symptoms (sickness, increasing pain to a specific location, temperature etc?) or is there a possibility that you could be pregnant? If so call 111/GP as it may need investigating further.

I hope it gets better soon x

Thank you so much for both of your replies.
I hope yours gets better bath, that sounds awful.
I'll make an appointment to see my GP, thanks for the advice 😊
