tonsilitus advise please

dd has tonsilitus really bad and is on antibiotics. She can barely eat anything and keeps getting a very high temperature. Its awful. I never realised it was this bad. Its the first time shes had it.

Your poor dd , my dd2 suffers a lot with this too, all I've found to help is lots of cool drinks and regular ibuprofen to each the pain. Hope she feels better soon.

your poor dd. I suffered with this badly as a child. You can get chloroseptic spray that will literally numb it for her (depends on her age) and dequadin throat tablets are very good. Also ice cream/sorbet should go down a treat. If you think soup is a good idea then please avoid tomato it'll sting like hell!

shes a lot better today, antibiotics have kicked in and shes gone back to school - her request! thanks for tips tho, i will keep the spray and tablets in mind if she gets it again.
