Sick of this ‘heavy’ feeling in my throat

Since October I’ve had a ‘heavy’ feeling in my throat and like something’s there mainly in the right side/front of my throat.
Doctor gave me 10 days antibiotics mid October for an infection and the infection has gone but the feeling is still there. After having regular checks my throat is still swollen, and red. I was sent to ENT for the camera which didn’t find anything and then sent for an mri on my neck which also didn’t find anything.
Do I need to push to be sent back to ENT?

Does it feel similar to a 'lump in the throat' feeling? As it could be due to anxiety especially as nothing was found with ENT

Try asking for some nystatin (for thrush in your throat - you will need a prescription for it.)
My DM was convinced she had cancer as she could feel something in her throat. She was referred for a camera as you were. Eventually, that was what was diagnosed.

Yes I agree with DrCristinaYang, I get this from time to time, a feeling of a lump in the throat, I believe it is known as globus hystericus and is linked to anxiety.

Lip in the throat feeling can also be acid, I get it when mine is not under control.

Thyroid ok? I felt like i had a large lump when my thyroid wasnt working, especially when i was falling alseep, like choking.

I don’t think it’s anxiety as I’ve been like it for too long now and it’s there more than it’s not, when I’m not anxious or have nothing to be anxious over.

I think I will have my thyroid checked as the feeling is sometimes there all day but worse at night when I’m trying to sleep I keep trying to swollow so I will definitely have that checked and also the ‘acid’ I am starting to get too, but that’s only been more recent 2 weeks ish.

Glad to read that you’ve had an mri and scope. Cancer can present like this
