oral thrush......please remind me.............

dd2 age7 has oral thrush
came home yesterday from school feeling lousy

took her to pharmacy....gave her dactarin gel

if not gone tomorrow...will take her to gp..

any reccommendations in meantime?

Oh dear, what's the matter?

Umm, well my baby neice has it, saw gp who prescribed dactarin - i can't think that there's much else you can do is there? Could she gargle with natural yoghurt, or is that only for fanjos?

my gp recommended a drop of tea tree oil in water to rinse mouth 3 times a day. she was quite into complementary therapies. don't know if this is ok for kid though...
it worked really well and i am about these things.

Or maybe rinsing the mouth with water containing grapefruit seed extract? (Citrocidal)
