Anyone else had this recently? I feel awful! Not sure of there is anything I can take or just wait it out?

Trapped wind

ooglyboo · 18/12/2018 04:07

Really? It’s like a stomach bug and I feel sick ... just nothing happening!

I dont know.

I had stomach pains before but no diorreah turned out to be trapped wind.

Is it like a grioing pain? Is it in the middle or more towards one side? If so, which side? Does it radiate anywhere else? X

It’s the pain you have with diarrhoea but just none. Of the latter. Centre, like my whole stomach is cramping from sort of my solar plexus, with crescendos when it hurts more and I feel especially sick! Thanks for talking to me in the dead of night.

I dont know what a solar plexus is.

I was wondering if gall stones? Pancreatitis?

ooglyboo · 18/12/2018 04:32

Nor do I but I think it’s the bit in the middle just below rib cage!!!

How are you OP?
I had this a few days ago. No D & V.
The pain lasted 8 hours.

It started suddenly early in the morning as soon as I got up. Really bad crampy pain top of stomach just below sternum. I couldn't face the thought of eating or drinking anything and just kept pacing about all day.
The pain stayed in the centre, and very gradually moved downwards, until it got to lower abdomen and then suddenly stopped.
No idea what it could have been, googling didn't come up with anything.

There’s a bug like this doing the rounds. Sometimes accompanied with cold / flu-like symptoms. All of us in my family have had it. Cramps lasted 2 days or so, no d&v, but v wiped out for a few days after. Hope you feel better soon OP

Malibucyprus · 02/01/2019 20:19

I’ve had the same thing over the Christmas period. Really bad cramping in the centre, below my ribs, thought I had a d&v bug coming, but bowel movements have been normal. Lasted for 3 days, started mild, cramps on and off but by day 3 I was in agony.

Woke up on the 4th day with no cramps, but still feels tender nearly a week later.

Google tells me it’s gallstones, but I don’t think I’m the ideal candidate for them?
