Get rid of the crick in my neck

I have had a crick in my neck for a week now. Can anyone advise anything to get rid of it fast?

Anti-inflammatories and some gentle stretching exercises. (Never looking up though!) I do chin to chest, chin to alternate shoulders, and tilt head to left and right, maximum 20 seconds each.
If you can, do them once an hour, and push a little further as the muscles start to stretch. It will be sore, so go carefully - but it does help.
But if it's really cramped up, a collar to help the muscles relax for a day or two might help first. Heat or cold (whichever suits you) is also good.
If you feel it's really bad, see a GP for some muscle relaxants.

+1 for the osteopath, flipping miracle workers!

I can't use ibuprofen because I'm pregnant. I went to the osteopath yesterday and she cracked my neck and did other stuff as well as other work on my body but it hasn't gone. She's off for a month now!

A good massage and apply heat!
