Can babies get a teething rash?

DS2 is 10m and getting his top front teeth. He has had a rash round his neck and down his back - pale, but feels quite hard to the touch, sort of like exzema. It went after a day or two, now its back and we also have the red chops and big time dribbling
As he is entirely well and appears to be feeling quite normal, I wondered if it could be to do with teething??? It doesn't make sense I know, but????

My 2 girls aged 4 and 17 months have had completley different teething experiences. dd1 Got a cold with everyone and had the trots, dd2 get's little pussy spots on her face and her exzema comes out on her feet. dd2 also get extemly peeved at the world. I always think better to be safe than sorry and go to the doctors/healthvisitor if your not sure.

DS gets eczema flares when he is teething (but also gets them when he is not), If your DS has never had the eczema problems before I would check with the GP
