Poorly dd - vomiting with some blood - any advice?

I'm being useless and paranoid mummy here and am after some reassurance / advice please??!

DD, age 3, started vomiting yesterday morning at 4am and is still going strong. She wanted food, which I gave her initially, but it didn't stay down. She's had just water, and a little bit of dioralyte, but just can't keep it down. She has managed to have a wee though, so clearly something is going through.

Also, there seems to be a little blood in the vomit, quite dark brown.

From time to time she feels red-hot, but her temp only seems to be about 37.5. If it gets to there again is it still okay to give nurofen?

Am paranoid because she has been hospitalised twice with exactly this, after getting dehydrated and I am desperate to try and stop it happening again! Loathe to call NHS direct as they always seem to tell you to go to A&E and I really don't think she needs to go there....

Lily - are you able to try bathing dd in cool water to help with her temperature or would that be too uncomfortable for her? Would imagine nurofen would be OK but not sure tbh. However hope that this will help bump your thread to someone who can offer some better advice. Hope you're well and that dd is better soonest.

Thanks WW. DD has been fussing all day and doesn't want to get in the bath, but will definitely try that later. She just kept water down for an hour, so that's progress.

Hope you are well, and thanks for your help!

Please can anyone else help here? dd has just thrown up again for the first time in 18 hours. She does want food now, so should I give her some?

Just being worried and silly I know but please reassure / advise me here??
