Have you ever burnt your swallowing tube?

I ate some mash that was too hot but swallowed it before I realised.

It was boiling. It burned.

Now its uncomfortable to swallow even liquids its not my throat that hurts exactly but the bit a bit further down.

Will it go?

Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, I've done exactly that with burning hot soup which I tasted from the pan. It was fine the next day though as I recall.

Although I had to avoid hot drinks for a couple of days after as they affected it the most.

Yes I burnt it with an antibiotic. Doxycycline. I took it with a sip of water and then lay down. The tablet sat there and burnt me. Was so incredibly painful.for weeks. Could.only eat/drink things like milk/rice pudding. And I usually hate milk.

Had to be prescribed meds to help it.

I now only take them with a huge glass of water and stay upright for at least half an hour after...which to be fair he instructions do advise
