I have a mirena coil, it’s been in for 3 years with no issues. Four months ago I stared spotting and then bleeding after sex. As it had gone on for a while I contacted the GP who did a smear, all clear!
I’ve been really tired for about 6 months but have kids, work full time, the usual, the tiredness has factored in any GP visits I’ve had over the last year or so. I have also had horrible stomach pain and bloating, feeling really full after eating a small amount.
Two weeks after the smear all clear I went back in and was sent for bloods for stomach issues. My PV level is high which means I have some kind of inflammation somewhere, very non-specific.
Went back in so the GP could feel my stomach, lots of pain and burping which is not nice. She examined me and the area where your stomach is was fine when poked but further down there was a lot of pain I’d never had before to the point I jumped.
This GP was new so wasn’t aware of previous gynae issue and asked if I’d had pain or discharge. I explained bleeding and she looked concerned and referred me to the hospital on an urgent referral.
It’s been a week and I’ve had a letter for an appointment at the end of Feb. I called the GP secretary who said that the hospital downgraded me.
Since the referral- I’ve been googling and have all the symptoms of ovarian cancer. This is highly unlikely but I still feel that it would be good to be seen before Feb.
What do I do? Any suggestions?
