Think DD has hand, foot and mouth. Should I stay off work?

I think DD has HF&M. Its in her creche and she has white blisters all over her tongue tonight. Should I take time off work in case I get it and pass it on to someone. I'm not sure what the recommendations are. I'm feeling grand except for a sore throat which I'm hoping might be nothing. I'm also 16 weeks pregnant.

Check nursery sickness policy. I'm not sure ours excludes

I don't think you need to take time off. NHS guidelines are that children don't even need to be off school when they have it - providing they feel well enough to go. You are contagious before symptoms and for several weeks afterwards and the illness is mild usually patient.info/health/viral-rashes/hand-foot-and-mouth-disease.

We both have viral infections. Too sick to get out of bed, never mind work. So it solved itself. Cheers!
