I was given loads of stuff amitryptiline, imigran, propranolol. None of them worked, but i did get given diclofenac supposotories which were amazing, because the stomach shuts down during an attack so these still got (ahem) through IYKWIM.

Good luck, I know its the worst thing, it ruined my life for a good 2 years.

i take Rizatriptan (when not pg or b/f) - fab stuff, but do have to take the second dose sometimes.

what dose are you on and when are you taking it? I used to get the maxalt wafers, and they were FAB - nasty over tired side effects, but worked v well.

What dose are you on? I have Zomiltriptan and it only works if I take it really early. I had my dose increased from 2.5mg to 5mg which helped and also switched to Orodispersible (melt on tongue) as my stomach shuts down and normal tablets do not get absorbed.I find it very hard to take them early enough to work as my early signs are rather vague but if and when I do they sometimes work or at least make it bearable.

now been given Zomig by the doctors. Hopefully i won't have to see if they work for a long time yet
He offered me toher prventative stuff but i don't want to have to take tablets everyday. So i'll see how i get on.
