Hello, on 15th of this month I had posterior repair for a prolapse, so coming up to 2 weeks ago. The op went ok, I was up and walking about carefully the same evening. But I now have a like really burning feeling at the opening of my foof Confused I've got stitches there too, it almost feels like thrush,
The stitches feel rough and it still feels as though I have a brick between my legs and like a pulling feeling. Is this just the healing process? Please someone help ive rested, not lifted & done everything as told, feeling pretty low right now, Hmm

Have you mentioned it to your surgeon/GP
Possibly an infection if the pains coming back? I'm sure they'll be happy to test if you give them a call

You can also ring the ward where you had the operation, explain your symptoms and ask for their advice. You are very early days after the op. I had an anterior repair. I did get pulling feelings but I can't remember getting a burning feeling though.
It does seem like the cure is worse than the disease for a few weeks. I had the pulling feeling too. Around week 3 you get a bit more pulling because the stitches are healing.
But it does all settle down. Then from time to time I think it swells up inside again and you think 'it's back!' but it isn't.
Look forward to the day you won't give 'down there' a second thought all day.

Thanks guys,
I had perineal body reconstruction aswell so I guess that's the stitches there right near the opening. A moment ago I thought I'll sit on edge of bath and just hold the shower head over the area, it was bliss, took the itchy stingy feeling away for a few minutes. I think I'll ring the hospital monday if no improvement, do you think they'll still help me even thought it would have been 2 weeks? X
