Hand, foot and mouth. Do the spots just disappear or do they have to blister and go crusty?

Sorry for the rank question. Google isn't giving me much detail about how this virus plays out in adults and I'm feeling too yucky to put too much effort in tbh.

Feeling yuck, pharmacist diagnosed h,f&m based on my history of fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers and pink spots on my hands. I was expecting the hand spots to turn into blisters which would crust over or something but they look like they are just healing/being reabsorbed. Is this normal? Hands still feel very sore but they are starting to look almost normal again just 48 hour later.

Have any of you had h,f&m as an adult? How did your rash play out and how long did it take to heal? Neither of my children have it so I wonder if it's misdiagnosed
