Hope it's ok. I had one removed on my arm a few years ago, it was ok.

VeryBigCake · 21/06/2007 10:46

chances are its nothing dogsby. but best to be safe hey.

i was sh*tting myself tbh, the thought of anything like this makes me sick to my stomache and not want to go.

I had one done when dd1 was about 3 months old iirc

I spent the weeks waiting in doom and gloom but all was fine

have scar now though, pah, no more halternecks (if I was bothered)

NerdMagnet · 21/06/2007 10:47

Well done for getting it sorted.

VeryBigCake · 21/06/2007 10:48

ooo this will be my first scar by medical means. lol.

i have some on my knees from skating, and one on my arm by someone burning with a fag on the dancefloor. but none because of medical reasons, not even a BCG scar.

Mine has left a scar, although that's partly due to the nurses, who told me I had to wait 12 days before getting the stitches out. On my scar even the marks where the stitches were are obvious.
It's not noticeable though unless I turn my arm round as it's on the inside

VeryBigCake · 21/06/2007 10:51

mine are being left in for 10days because of where it is and the amount of movement there.

it feels very odd.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 21/06/2007 10:54

I have had 6 removed - none of them were anything

mumto3girls · 21/06/2007 10:55

Hope you and ours are okay verybigcake.

mumto3girls · 21/06/2007 10:55

sorry yours

foxinsocks · 21/06/2007 10:58

I've had one that was pre cancerous (whatever that means - was only 19 and wasn't overly concerned ). The rest have been nothing although one of them has grown back!

foxinsocks · 21/06/2007 10:59

and they were convinced in advance there was something up with the dodgy one.

Generally, when they remove them because they are being cautious, it seems they are mostly OK.

VeryBigCake · 21/06/2007 18:12

ooooooooooow!

am fully dosed up but ow, it hurts now.

Keep taking the tablets. Mine was sore for quite a while as he had to do a bit of digging. And it was right of my shoulder blade.

Hope you're all doing OK.

VeryBigCake · 21/06/2007 18:29

mine is on my shouder as well, not the boney blade part, but right on the bit which moves when you arm moves.
