memoryfoam matresses ??

Does anyone have a memory foam matress ? I used to be a good sleeper until DS 1 came along - now I am a terrible sleeper - just can't get comfortable or settled. I quite like the look of memory foam mattresses & I've had a look on Google but there seem to be lots on the market - how do I know which is the genuine one. Does anyone have one?
Thanks

Would one get all sweaty sleeping on foam and not airpockets/springs?
But I have a bad back so am interested in reading responses.

We've got one, not the REALLY expensive one, I think it was about £300.

I really like it, v firm and comfy and you don't roll into the centre of the bed if the other person is heavier. It's much more of a solid 'slab' if you like and it's easier to claim your own space

DP was worried about sweatiness but it hasn't been a problem so far.

btw I have seen threads on this before so if you do a search it might turn up some useful info

My friend was telling me at the w/end that she and her dh have one, and that they sweat a lot. They def wish they'd not bothered.

I'm sure that Shosha has one, she might be along soon to tell you

we have one and I think it's divine

Can't remember where we got it from - bought it online, anyway. I don't get any hotter than on a normal one, but my sciatica has completely gone, it's so comfy and relaxing.

We bought a memory foam topper from Costco - made a huge difference (without the huge cost) - soooo comfy & no aching backs/necks
