keep going, you know you can get there- its the beginning of the end now

it's hell, fostermum, but temporary. i laugh when people say "it's just a habit"!!!!???? if only...
i found it VERY hard to stop, but did it a year ago and hope to stay this way. the thought of having to stop again keeps me on the straight and narrow.

fostermum · 19/06/2007 20:23

Give it one more week and your hell will be over for good. You will never have to go through this again - this isn't what NOT SMOKING feels like, this is withdrawel and it will soon be over.

Well done you. Keep going, the end is in sight.

remember, if you can do this , you can be as smug as me!

fostermum · 19/06/2007 20:31

yes, i can see how that could make things tough...
poor you!

Charlicat is the mistress of helping people stop smoking on here and recommends a website that she found very helpful. I'll see if I can find it, or her, to add her words of wisdom.
I gave up 22 months ago with a bit of help from this site!
Keep going, imagine having to repeat this whole week again.

Hi fostermum, a huge well done on giving up the fags. this will be the hardest point now and just keep reminding yourself how many days you have been smoke free for, and feel really smug about it! i gave up 6 weeks ago, i felt tired too, i gave in to the sleep as i figured it was less time awake and thinking about fags! keep going

fostermum · 22/06/2007 20:54

ok 1 week and 2 days still no smokes, i havent killed anyone or threatend anyone with g.b.h, except the fridge,im battering the weekly shop like its going out of fashion
