Had a coil fitted and won't stop bleeding - anybody else?

I had a coil fitted on 19th October 2018, I'm posting this 6th November 2018. Basically since I've had it done, I've been bleeding non stop, not just spotting like enough that I have to change a pad every 4 to 5 hours. Has anybody else experienced this? I know it can affect your periods but if this is what it's going to be like, I don't know what to do. I can't have any other kind of decent contraception because I don't do well with any hormones Confused

Is it mirena or the copper coil? I had my first mirena put in a long time ago so find it difficult to remember but I think I did bleed for quite a long time although mostly spotting. If I were you I'd give it a couple more weeks then go back to your GP, say you're concerned about becoming anaemic or something.

It's a copper coil Smile I can't have mirena because hormones send me completely haywire. Yeah I think I might give them a call anyway and just ask them. Problem is they didn't even fit it, i had it done in a clinic in Birmingham and they don't even have a number you can call Hmm
