oh god you're far from being the only one.

There are millions of us.

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2007 21:59

of course you aren't the only one

do your pelvic floor exercises and all will be well

actually I think this used to happen to me even before having children if a huge sneezing fit

Saturn74 · 17/06/2007 21:59

get those kegel exercises going, and it will get better.

TheArmadillo · 17/06/2007 21:59

yes is pelvic floor.

You need to do the exercises and it will tighten up.

Do you know how to do them?

(DOn't worry tis a common problem after having kids )

NotQuiteCockney · 17/06/2007 21:59

Pelvic floor. This is 'stress incontinence', and it's perfectly normal.

Do your pelvic floor exercises (read up on them online, there's more to it than you think), and this will sort it out.

This happened to me when I was 15 .

Since then, my pelvic floor has been very solid.

Donk · 17/06/2007 21:59

Pelvic floor exercises, pelvic floor exercises, pelvic floor exercies.......
'tis stress incontinence. A common afterthought left us by our LO's births......

EllieG · 17/06/2007 22:00

Hmmm should I change my name for this? Don't know how...oh well.
Yes has happened to me very embarrassing I started doing more pelvic floor exercises and that seems to have helped quite a bit

SlightlyMadScientist · 17/06/2007 22:00

Or if you are lazy buy some Tena lady .

Katymac · 17/06/2007 22:00

Don't worry until you leak when you stand up.......... & don't worry too much then they can fix it

Do your pelvic floor exercises - you can fix it yourself or go see a physio - they have special pelvic floor ones

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2007 22:01

ooh NQC I was talking about your pelvic floor last night to some RL friends, just in case your ears (or any other part of you?) were burning

EllieG · 17/06/2007 22:02

I haven't had any LO's! Which is why was particularly depressing. But pelvic floor exercises have made big difference.

NotQuiteCockney · 17/06/2007 22:02

I fear your RL friends. How did they respond to the conversational gambit of 'my imaginary friend can fire pingpong balls out of her vagina with great velocity and accuracy'?

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2007 22:04

ooh it went quite well I think

actually you have met them but I didn't tell them it was YOU

NotQuiteCockney · 17/06/2007 22:05

I think I'm grateful for that.

I managed to refrain from either a) calling you Frances or b) describing 'Frances' as your porn name.

Oh, I have found what we are doing on the 30th, we are booked to go see a play based on that Bear Hunt book.

We had a lovely day today, though, went out for a bike ride to have dim sum, we were on bikes for about three hours.

heavenssakeimembarrassed · 17/06/2007 22:05

thank you. that's made me feel better - i was beginning to get quiote depressed and teary about it. i shall try and book an appt to get a referral (oh gawd) to gynae physio.

FrannyandZooey · 17/06/2007 22:07
