Tonsil stones and bad breath

I feel like I’m the only one who has to deal with tonsil stones and the consequent bad breath Sad
I’ve had them for years, but I rarely ever get tonsillitis or sore throats so I don’t know if a full blown tonsillectomy would be appropriate

I have excellent oral hygiene, use an electric toothbrush, tongue scraper, floss. (My dentist has even commented that I had clean teeth)
However I’m still prone to bad breath within 2 hours after brushing and/or not eating, which must be due to my tonsils

I don’t understand why there isn’t much medical advice online about them either, I could only find one UK ENT specialist who offers treatment for them from googling... I wonder is it really that rare?

Does anyone else here get them? If so, how do you cope

Lots on this in sporners corner though probably not the help you need!

I have had these, I think the hygiene you mentioned is v important as part of it. I started vigorously gargling twice a day with lysterine which has helped. Imagine salt water would be as good though less pleasant

Not sure if this helps you decide or not

Are you able to push them out with say an orange stick or are they well lodged in?

Does it help if you cut out dairy?

I used to get them and used to get them out myself. I'm sure i get them in my throat too and i find if i take a very large mouth full of water and swallow it hard, it helps dislodge it.
