Just wondering if anyone has found a slightly painful lump in breast, had a scan and been told there is nothing there?
This is my story so far...went to doctor becasue I had a slight pain in one breast and I could feel a lump. By the time my app came around my doctor could not feel it but sent me for a scan. The scan showed nothing, all clear but two days afterwards the pain was back and I can feel it again. I have told my doctor and she wants to examaine me again, when it it sore and I can feel it. It's gone again now but as son as I feel it again I will go back to her. Anyone had this or know what it might be?

Hi. Has your doctor told you to check if it is linked to your periods? Also, are you on the pill, as I know from experience that this can cause lumps that are estrogen-based.

it could possibly be a blocked milk duct. tmi alert: have you squeezed it all and any pus come out?
whatever it is, though, you've got to see your doctor as no real use speculating. ask him/her to refer you to a breast clinic as always best to get these things checked out.
it's such a worry, isn't it? but put your mind at rest by getting that referral. take care.

sorry, just seen you went for a scan. did they do a mammogram, too? but does sound like it's linked to your periods maybe. but do go back to doc/specialist
