Over the last few months I've had a lot of stress and I suffer anxiety
For the past week I've woken up with neck ache on my left side traveling to my shoulder . It's so stiff could this be built up stress in my body or a bad pillow ? I've always slept on that part of my body on
My neck and never had a problem Before, shall I. Change pillow ? Or go to GP? Thanks any advice be brill

Try a new pillow, and some ibuprofen gel rubbed in before you go to bed. The GP will expect you to have tried the obvious things before you see them.

I have arthritis in my neck and suffer a lot of pain. I have learned over many years that the pillow is a big factor in pain level. I can use only a very thin pillow. It's not comfortable but if I dare to sleep with two pillows or swap it for a thick pillow I wake up with horrendous neck pain.

The other thing that helps is neck exercises. Little and often.

I have a Sealy Posturpedic pillow for my neck, would recommend

I got a memory foam pillow from Dunelm when i had the same problem, spent £36 on it! I was s bit sceptical but it has been great.

Took a while for the pain to settle down initially but has been great since.

It is a pillow designed for side sleepers

I had this together with anxiety etc too. Still have that unfortunately! Went to gp who prescribed ibuprofen gel and sent me for ultrasound which showed up nothing so I changed my pillow to a curvy one like Tempur (sp?)but not as ££ from Debenhams. Haven't had a problem since and that was 2 years ago.
