Symptons include itchy eyes and rashes, chapped lips and sore nose.

Have had this now for the third year running and have been prescribed fexofenadin which does nothing, and other anti histamins not any good either. the dr was just at a loss and referred me to a specialist but by the time the appointment came through I was ok.

but it's back again now.

Ooh yes, me! Sat here eyes itching and streaming, rashes all up my neck.

Have you any idea what it is? I've been told all sorts – weed pollen, leaf mould, dust. Mine eases off right after the first cold snap.

Sorry you're suffering too.

is your home mouldy? might be from spending more time indoors.

I have perennial rhinitis and it's at its worse in early Autumn. This year is awful for some reason. I have never found a particular reason for it and assumed it was mould or fungi like the pp suggests. I will keep an eye on things and see if it disappears with the first cold snap.

Loratadine takes the edge off it for me. Other over the counter meds and fexofenadine are useless. It's been so bad I've considered going to the doctor to ask for steroids! I can't wait for it to go.

Yes me. Always starts in September. I habe allergies all year round, but it hikes up in September. I have fexofenadine also which helps but doesn't cure. I have a nasal spray which really helps with the rhinitis side of things.

I wish I knew what it was. It's only developed in my 30's. I also now have asthma since last winter. No idea why is develop it in adulthood.

Have you some house plant that flowers around this times of year. My brother had that problem with a Christmas Cactus.

It's fungal spores at this time of year, look at the charts of seasonal allergens

Might sound silly but could you be coming down with a cold?

I don’t get your symptoms, but I always get dry/sensitive skin and shit hair at this time of year. Alongside a slightly low mood now that summer’s over and it gets dark quite early!
