Ds2 has been waking with blue lips ( and the area around his lips) recently. Nothing else is blue (ie tingue, finger nails etc), we went to GP today, and now DS2 is being referred to a padiatric specialist. Any ideas what it could be anyone? Quite worried to be honest, although he is fine apart from that and is generally driving us insane touching everything he's not meant to.

oh thats fantastic. i remember feelign so relieved when dd2 had her echo and was told it was just a soft systolic murmur. even tho you hope for good news part of you expects the worst at times.

DS used to do the blue thing on a regular basis, and it is very disconcerting. He has had an echo and all is well. We have come to the conclusion twixt ourselves and the GP that it is a circulation thing, but that once he gets cold enough for it to happens it takes ages to clear. DS now 3 going on 33!!! and it happens less and less, but come to think of it 18 months to 24 were the worst time for it. Much love
